Another great day at Felixstowe - NOT :( with a little breeze and sunshine forcast until at least the afternoon I was looking forward to a decent sail and with the Manor End carpark now shut for building work Mag and I went to the Dip at 9:15 for breakfast and the wind seemed to be filling in nicely. I rigged big and went out on the raceboard and beat to the pier to pick up my mobile from Mag who had biked there from thew dip but sadly the wind was very light and it took me ages and the sun was getting less and less :( The wind died and I sat on the beach ages waiting for it to fill in which it did turning from wsw to ssw and I set off on a good broad reach to the Deben before turning and beating back past the pier and then having a mega broad really fast run back parrallel to the beach :) The wind was now gusting to 28 mph so went ashore for lunch and to rig some smaller kit, several sailors turned up one rigged 5.3 and another 6.5 but the the rain came and the wind swung off :( I waited for it to settle down but it didn't and I was getting cold so backed up and went home - shame really after a couple of good runs.
